A very useful three year old on the flat with Mark Tompkins has spent the last couple of years in the wilderness due to injury and not really being in love with the jumping game. He is lightly raced for his age with only 14 races overall with only 8 on the flat. It is hoped that he will give us some fun during the summer. Current rating 57

War and Peace was claimed at Wolverhampton. The son of Danehill started life at Ballydoyle but has been recently giving experience to a young apprentice rider in Newmarket with Jane Chapple-Hyam. It was felt he had a bit more to offer than was being shown on the racecourse and looked a bargain at £4000 despite his age as he is relatively lightly raced. As always time will tell but hopefully should give us a bit of fun. He finally got off the mark in our colours at Salisbury. Current rating 65

Johnny Hancocks
Two year old son by Kodiac out of Taisho. Johnny is a small stocky youngster who has the makings of an early sort. He is a half-brother to five winners including Waterline Twenty who David Evans also had plenty of success with. Johnny broke his maiden in emphatic style at Catterick in July. Current rating - 65.

William Haigh; Two year old bay gelding by Refuse To Bend
Purchased at Newmarket Tattersalls Book 1 recently. He his showing a good attitude in his new surroundings. He has been broken and also gelded. He has indicated on the gallops that a mile will probably be his starting point as regards distance and should run in August or September but will not make a debut on particularly fast ground.
This good looking son of Galileo was purchased at the October Horses in Training Sale at Newmarket. He quickly made his mark for us winning back to back races at Hamilton and Musselburgh in June 2009. He was sold a year later and is now embarking on a hurdling career with John Hanlon in Ireland, who feels he may have success in that sphere when encountering better ground later in 2010.
Our first horse purchased in November 2006, unraced, from Darley at the Doncaster Sales. The son of Green Desert did us proud with 5 victories and winning over £30,000 in prize money in less than 2 years. He had an injury that was never going to repair properly and was proving increasingly difficult to keep sound. He was sold to stay with his trainer Mark Brisbourne in Noember 2009. It is hoped he can win a little race somewhere for his new owner.
We claimed this well bred son of Observatory out of a Redcar seller in May 2008. Alan Swinbank did an excellent job of putting condition back on him and those efforts paid off with his decisive victory in August at one of our favourite venues Chester. Setbacks after that success meant that was the end of his flat season. He was moved back to his original trainer Mark Brisbourne for 2009 and it was great to see him bounce back to form and land a mile handicap at Nottingham. The arthritis in his joints was obviously beginning to tell in the autumn and he was sold to race abroad at Ascot Sales in October.
