Sprinter claimed recently at Wolverhampton after his winter break. Has now won 9 races from 63 starts, previously with Richard Fahey and Andrew Reid. Should continue to pay his way on all weather and turf. He won a handicap in good style at Chester in May. After his victory over the christmas period his record at Dunstall Park stands at a creditable 4 from 8. Current rating 69

Three year old gelding by Refuse To Bend. Did not make it to racecourse in 2010 due to growth and immaturity. He has shown a good attitude with everything asked of him. He was been gelded as a two year old. He has indicated on the gallops that a mile will probably be his starting point as regards distance and should run in the spring but will not make a debut on fast ground. He won his debut on fibresand at Southwell on May 10th and landed his second victory from six flat starts back at the same venue in November. Willam followed that with back to back wins at Wolverhampton before returning to Southwell to complete a four timer on New Years Day Rating 95

The three year old grey gelding by Act One did well in 2010 mainly eating grass and growing after being broken. He was given a break after initial training in the spring in order to have a summer developing at grass. He is now back cantering and will probably start in bumpers during the winter.

Si Sealy
Gelded bay son of first season sire Lawman, purchased at Fairyhouse in September. He is doing well in a decent string of youngsters but is likely to need time and intermediate distances. Disappointed at York and is being given time to strengthen and is having a summer at grass. Current rating 56

Major Buckley
The bay son of Haafhd out of decent race mare Woodwin was purchased at Fairyhouse in September. Has been doing well but was being a touch colty recently and has now been gelded. Major was hit by the infection that hit the yard early in the summer and it was decided to give him recovery time and start again as a three year old.

Previous Winners for Shropshire Wolves
Johnny Hancocks
Son of Kodiac out of Taisho. Johnny was a small stocky youngster who did well for us in 2010. A half-brother to five winners including Waterline Twenty who David Evans also had plenty of success with. Johnny broke his maiden in emphatic style at Catterick in July and finally got a much deserved handicap win at Ffos Las in September. His third victory for us was in a Kempton claimer, when he was subsequently claimed by Linda Stubbs. Johnny has since been sold to race in Qatar and won his first race out there making all over 6f in November 2011.
War And Peace
War and Peace was claimed at Wolverhampton. He finally got off the mark in our colours at Salisbury and was proving a lovely fun horse. He was a gentleman for the stable staff. We unfortunately lost him in a tragic racecourse accident at Wolverhampton in September 2010 and is fondly remembered.
Baizically:
This good looking son of Galileo was purchased at the October Horses in Training Sale at Newmarket. He quickly made his mark for us winning back to back races at Hamilton and Musselburgh in June 2009. He was sold a year later and is now embarking on a hurdling career with John Hanlon in Ireland, who has won over hurdles with him and told me recently he cannot wait to see him over fences.
Our first horse purchased in November 2006, unraced, from Darley at the Doncaster Sales. The son of Green Desert did us proud with 5 victories and winning over £30,000 in prize money in less than 2 years. He had an injury that was never going to repair properly and was proving increasingly difficult to keep sound. He was sold to stay with his trainer Mark Brisbourne in November 2009. Unfortunately he never won again and has been retired.
We claimed this well bred son of Observatory out of a Redcar seller in May 2008. Alan Swinbank did an excellent job of putting condition back on him and those efforts paid off with his decisive victory in August at one of our favourite venues Chester. Setbacks after that success meant that was the end of his flat season. He was moved back to his original trainer Mark Brisbourne for 2009 and it was great to see him bounce back to form and land a mile handicap at Nottingham. The arthritis in his joints was obviously beginning to tell in the autumn and he was sold to race abroad at Ascot Sales in October.
