First runners of the year - 18 February, 2010

We will have our first runners of the year next week, when The Last Bottle tries again to get his career underway again and Dr Mathias comes back from his mid-winter break.

The Last Bottle will hopefully get a run under his belt on Monday either in the handicap as first preference or the maiden.There has been no recurrence of his muscular problem since resuming training but is likely to need the outing all the same.

Dr Mathias is being entered for a race at Kempton next Thursday over a mile. David Evans reports the gelding in good form after his break and it is to be hoped he can soon begin to put some recover the form that saw him win at Ffos Las despite being green on his second start.
